Yummy waffles, great coffee and lifestyle products featuring and inspired by ancient Japan patterns. Wonderful cafe and gift shop featuring painstakingly woven Yonezawa Ori fabrics, plus a secret treehouse that will make you feel like a kid again! Just a short distance from the hot spring town of Onogawa Onsen, Yozando is a must-stop if you are in the area. I loved the up-cycling of materials from the mills that this company still runs to produce fabrics that are used by some of the world's top brands.

I enjoyed being able to shop for the yonezawa cloth items like purses, clothing and teddy bears here as well as enjoy delicious coffee. The ambience with the traditional wooden structuring and the use of sewing factory parts for tables, etc., gives a cozy retro vibe. A 30 minute drive from Yonezawa city proper but well worth the effort.

Amazing place! The coffee is freshly ground, delicious. The waffle looks very homemade. I really recommend! There is a treehouse, but it’s closed.

This place is definitely my favourite cafe in Yonezawa! Yonezawa has a world famous fabric skills and the company called Yozando also makes the modern Yoneori fabrics and sell their product in this shop. The highlight of this place is the tree house and also the roasted house coffee that they make at the 100 years old Japanese old Kura house. Spending time in Yozando is just so relaxing and all the greenery surrounded by the house heals your eyes and hearts.. Each season they seems to have a new series of Yoneori products and they always look so cute! I remember I bought a T shirts that has a Yoneori Komon printed on it and it is still my favourite at all times:):) Only 5 mins drive from Onogawa Onsen. Highly recommend visiting this place if you are around Onogawa Onsen area:)

Date of enjoyment: 12/4/25 Came here right after a visit to uhu uhu garden cafe. Didnt try their cafe but we did visit the souvenir shops with and they have the very famous Yonezawa textile in all sort of garments and shapes and sizes. It is truly unique to Yonezawa and we got a few items as a gift for family. They accept cash and card and wrapping for gift is free, the attendant spoke fluent English as well.
